Founded during the era of apartheid, Goodman Gallery offered a non-discriminatory space when museums served the agenda of the autocratic government.

Goodman has branches in Johannesburg and Cape Town and represents many of South Africa’s best known contemporary artists, encouraging them to address new aesthetic, social, political and economic themes and challenge the status quo.
