Established in 1796, Buitenverwachting is one of the Cape’s oldest wine farms. The restaurant is situated in the original Cape Dutch building that forms part of the historic werf, with a mountain-facing terrace overlooking the vineyards and more informal courtyard. The “retro-inspired” menu comprises four categories (Light & Easy, Rustic Affairs, Indulge and Desserts), catering for relaxed and deli style meals, but also offering a limited selection of fine dining dishes.
